It’s time to gear up for the holidays, and I couldn’t think of a better gift than sharing self-care. This year has been a doozy for absolutely everyone, and getting the next year started on the right foot is probably a goal for all of us. If the holidays are not your time to shine, head on over to my Holiday Coping Skills post to refresh and get your game face on for your least favorite time of year. Remember, it’s okay to say no. No is also a full sentence, and you don’t need to feel guilty for taking care of yourself.
For those of you that love the holidays but are coming up blank when it comes to gifts, howdy! I’m introducing my Gift Guide for the 2020 Holiday Season. Give the gift of self-care to your friends and loved ones this year. It has been a tough year for everyone. I think we all need a break and time to re-evaluate and reconsider our wants and needs toward the end of this year.
I’m giving a sneak peek at upcoming items that will be available on Black Friday. Plus, some great self-care gifts that are relaxing and helpful for most people. Some of these things may or may not be on my personal wishlist for this year, too! If you’re like me, you love giving gifts way more than receiving them! I think the items below are awesome!

The very first item on my Gift Guide is the full set of my Big Books of Self-Care. Invest in yourself. Invest in growth, healing, and positive change. These books are a culmination of all the self-worth lessons, self-love practices, and inspiration that I needed when I was at my lowest point. I couldn’t find any journals that had affirmations, self-love exercises, gratitude exercises, self-care checklists, calendars, morning and evening check-ins, open letters, and more all in one, so I made it myself. You won’t find them anywhere else! These small but mighty beauties can fit easily in your purse, so you can take them out and get inspired or back on track whenever you want. If you’re feeling the burnout from a long and unending 2020 and want to recharge, get motivated, and level-up, these journals are for you. If you’d like to buy them separately and just get your feet wet, go for it! They will be available with a surprise bonus on Black Friday.
I was late to the bath bomb movement, but I’m glad that I found them eventually. Bath bombs make a great stocking stuffer for the stressed-out family member or friend or a great Secret Santa gift for a co-worker. They’re simple, they smell amazing, and if you close your eyes, you can pretend you’re soaking at a spa. The Epsom salt will relax your muscles and that hot water will soak all your worries away. Light some candles, wrap your hair in a towel, and bliss out for a few minutes. You’ve earned it.
Chocolate (or any sweet treat) is a great and easy gift for the person you have no idea what to buy. Baking some homemade brownies with crushed peppermint in the is a cute and festive update to a holiday favorite. Luckily with all the different dietary needs out there, Pinterest and food bloggers have some safe and healthy alternatives if the person you have in mind has a food allergy or may have diabetes.
I am a sucker for overly fragrant artisanal soaps. Lavender “fancy soap” as I call it, is at the absolute top of my gift wish list. Before bed, my room become a lavender wonderland. I have a small spray bottle filled with lavender essential oil and water that I spray my pillows with before going to sleep. And yeah, you guessed it, bath time or shower time is not complete without my “fancy soaps”. If there’s an essential oil lover in your midst, give the give of relaxation.

Tea is a lovely way to relax while reading a good book, especially now that it’s getting colder outside. Yes, even Florida has a little nip in the air right now. Surprising? Yeah, I was caught off-guard during my last two morning runs, too! I love peppermint tea in particular, but chamomile is very relaxing and aromatic, along with ginger tea and other flavors! I’ve spied some really awesome tea gift sets at Ross and Marshalls.
If there is a writer in your family or friend group, nothing beats a good journal. Find one with an inspirational quote on the outside and maybe leave a little personal note from you on the first page. Tell them how wonderful they are, and give them a bit of encouragement for 2021. Everyone loves finding little easter eggs like that in movies and TV shows. Give them a little thrill and something they can come back to for motivation or reassurance.
An Aztec clay mask is the king of face masks in my opinion. I singlehandedly defeated acne by putting on one of these babies every day for a month. Doesn’t matter what gender your gift recipient is, these clay masks mean business for clear skin and empty pores. If you have sensitive skin, the trick is to not use apple cider vinegar with it right away. Try it with water, and do a patch test to see how your skin reacts. If all is well, give it a whirl. These mud masks are heavenly.
The holiday season during a pandemic will be a different one for everyone. I highly recommend staying safe, masking up, and shopping online this year. Slow the spread and take care of yourself and your loved ones. I think the best gift after this decade of a year is the gift of self-care. We all need to take a collective deep breath and truly take care of ourselves.
What’s the saying? You can’t pour from an empty cup! Fill your cup with mindfulness, self-love, and some probably much needed me-time. Give yourself the option of recharging and becoming vibrant and ready to take on anything 2021 has to throw at us.

Thank you so much for sharing this post! I think this year we all need to focus on some self care products. I really like the journal idea. I never thought of writing something inspirational before you would give it away! Love that idea. I will definatley bookmark this I am one of those people who just don’t know what to get someone when it comes down to it. I found your guide so helpful already and I will definatley check out what is coming for Black Friday!
Yes, I’m glad to hear it! The quote in a journal is something that I have always wanted as a gift but never received.
Giving self-care for a gift is such a great idea always, but especially this year. What a fabulous idea that you created the Big Books of Self-Care because you couldn’t find what you needed. They sure look like a great inspirational gift. The journal is also a great idea. A friend gave me once one with the quote “Don’t put limits to your dreams” and I still treasure it.
Wow, that’s such a great quote! I would definitely treasure that journal, too.
I love ALL of these gift ideas, might need to show them to the family for my Christmas wish list ?
Haha definitely do. I think everyone needs some good relaxation right about now.
Great read. Yes, I love the idea of journals too but I often wonder if that’s only because I love receiving them. I also have never thought to add a personalize message inside before gifting so that’s a great idea. I think we all need to take a little time out for ourselves. Thanks again, perfect post.
Thank you!
